Asus Launches Overclocking-Oriented TUF Sabertooth 990FX R3.0 Mainboard

WD Announces the Release of Innovative Hard Drives Series

Western Digital introduced its new hard drives series with SATA 6 Gb/sec interface. WD Red hard drives belong to the 'Power of Choice' series and are adapted exactly for the NAS servers of basic level. The Raijintek Metis Plus Chassis in a Fresh Design

Raijintek has released a new version of Mini-ITX chassis, called Metis Plus. There are several colour solutions of this specialty: red, black, silver, white, blue, green and gold. The motherboard plate, dust filter and other parts are black.



The framework is manufactured out of 1.5 mm anodized aluminum, 0.5 mm SPCC steel and acryl (the side panel window).


According to the specification, this chassis can hold four 2.5-inch and one 3.5-inch drives or two 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch SSD/HDD and a 120 mm liquid-cooling system heatsink, which can be mounted only at bundled 120 mm backlit fan disassembly. The max size of the motherboard to be installed is 170 × 170 mm (Mini-ITX), of the graphics card – 170 × 160 × 40 mm, of the CPU cooler – 160 mm. The interface panel on the top has two USB 3.0 connectors, as well as headphone and microphone jacks. Za razliku od desktop PC bogat asortiman guma za ulaz/izlaz, prijenosna računala imaju minimalnim mogućnostima za povezivanje perifernih uređaja. Priključak PCMCIA – to je vrsta periferne sučelje klase laptop. On vam omogućuje da proširi funkcionalnost računala kroz povezivanje kompatibilnih hardverskih komponenti, za koje treba skinuti driver za PCMCIA uređaja. Ključne prednosti ovog sučelja – mogućnost hot-plug opreme (veza dok motor računalu) i visoke brzine prijenosa podataka.

Standard PCMCIA ima nekoliko varijanti. Najčešći od njih je 32-bitna verzija Sabirnice, podržava radnu frekvenciju do 33 Mhz i način upravljanja autobusom. U ovoj verziji provodi posebna tehnologija za uštedu energije; ona aktivira priključeni uređaj samo prema potrebi.

Treba napomenuti da su sve karte s priključkom PCMCIA se dijele na tri vrste. U prvu vrstu spadaju uređaja debljine 3.3 mm i 16-bitnim sučeljem; drugi tip uključuje karte debljine 5 mm s 16-/32-bitnim sučeljem, a treći tip kartice debljine 10.5 mm sa sličnim opcijama sučelja. Za postavljanje veze između OS laptopa i priključuje komponenta koriste poseban NA – vozač za PCMCIA uređaja.
