G11DF Is the First ASUS Desktop Based on the AMD Ryzen Platform

During the Computex 2017 exhibition ASUS presented its latest gaming G11DF PC, based on the flagship 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 1800X processor (Zen microarchitecture with the AMD B350 system logic). This is the first ASUS desktop, built on the Ryzen platform.



Customers can choose between configurations with AMD or NVIDIA GPUs, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and AMD Radeon RX 480 models. Ultimate RAM DDR4-2400 memory capacity is 32 GB. As a storage device one can use a 3 TB HDD or a 512 GB M.2 PCIe SSD.


In its basic configuration, G11DF features a gigabit Ethernet port; however, optionally one can obtain models with extra Wi-Fi 802.11ac wireless connectivity support. The front panel contains two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A and two USB 2.0 ports. The back side has a USB 3.0 Type-C, four USB 3.0 Type-A and two USB 2.0 ports.

The Tempered Glass Edition of the Thermaltake Core X71 Chassis

The Thermaltake Company has announced a new Core X71 version of chassis. This solution is called Tempered Glass Edition and is produced in black colour.



One of the novelty’s panels possesses a window out of 4 mm tempered glass instead of the formerly used acrylic panel.


Due to its dual-chamber structure the chassis has much of the inner space, which allows to assemble a PC of almost any complexity with the liquid cooling system utilization.

Motherboards of Mini ITX, Micro ATX and ATX typical sizes can be installed. The maximum number of expansion cards is eight. One can use discrete graphics accelerators of up to 420 mm length.


In the front part of this product, there is enough room to mount a 480 mm heatsink, and it’s possible to install a 360 mm heat dissipator at the top. The preassembled power supply unit length equals to 220 mm.

Scythe Teases a Hard-Hitting Ninja 4 CPU Cooler

Scythe Co. Ltd., an award-winning Japanese designer of enthusiast-level cooling solutions, has expanded its Ninja series of CPU coolers with another model – Ninja 4. The new-comer boasts 130x155x153 mm dimensions and supports all updated platforms developed by AMD and Intel, including Intel LGA 2011-3. Currently, pricing info and release date remain undefined.



Scythe Ninja 4 consists of a huge aluminum cross-type heatsink with a copper footing, a nickel-plated base, and six nickel-plated U-shape heatpipes. За разлику од десктоп РАЧУНАРА са богатим асортиманом гума улаз/излаз, преносни рачунари имају минималним могућностима за повезивање периферне опреме. Често у опремање лаптоп, ультрабуков и неттопов улази не више од три-четири интерфејса USB, а лука LPT, PS/2 и COM могу и не недостаје. Сличан проблем постоји и са инсталацијом одбора за проширење. Међутим, код мобилних уређаја има адут – конектор PCMCIA.

Конектор PCMCIA – то је врста периферне интерфејса класе лаптоп. Он омогућава да се прошири функционалност рачунара кроз повезивање компатибилних хардверских компоненти, за које је потребно преузети возача за PCMCIA уређаја. Кључне предности овог интерфејса – могућност топлог повезивање опреме (интернет у радном рачунару) и велика брзина преноса информација.

Стандард PCMCIA има неколико врста. Најчешћи од њих – 32-битни верзија CardBusкоја подржава радну фреквенцију до 33 Мхз и режим контроле гумом. У овој верзији, такође, реализована је посебна технологија за уштеду енергије; она активира уређај повезан само по потреби.

Треба напоменути да се све картице са конектором PCMCIA су подељени у три врсте. На први тип укључује уређај са дебљине 3.3 мм и 16-битни шифровани контакт интерфејс; други тип укључује картице дебљине 5 мм са 16-/32-битни шифровани контакт интерфејс, а трећи тип картице дебљине 10.5 мм са сличним опцијама интерфејса. За постављање везе између ОС лаптопа и подключаемым компонента користе посебан софтвер – возача за PCMCIA уређаја.
