Asus Launches Overclocking-Oriented TUF Sabertooth 990FX R3.0 Mainboard

Despite the fact that Socket AM3+ platform is on its last legs, Asus still dares developing an advanced motherboard, designed for AMD FX processors. That is how TUF Sabertooth 990FX R3.0 board made appearance. The ATX model is built on the binder of AMD 990FX + SB950 bridges as well as a 8+2-phase Asus Digi+ VRM system. The PCB boasts the implementation of top-tier TUF Components hardware base.



Asus TUF Sabertooth 990FX R3.0 is furnished with a voluminous heatsink on key elements; it ensures stable operation even on overclocking. WD Announces the Release of Innovative Hard Drives Series

Western Digital introduced its new hard drives series with SATA 6 Gb/sec interface. The new series, codenamed WD Red, has been developed specifically for the employment in NAS servers of basic level, which involve up to 5 bays and are destined for the home or office use. WD Red hard drives belong to the 'Power of Choice' series and are adapted exactly for the NAS servers of basic level. The company's designers understand the variety of requirements each customer might have and offer the most convenient approach to the home- or office-based solutions. WD has implemented a dedicated color-coded scheme to differentiate their line of 'Power of Choice' products: WD Blue, WD green, WD Black, and the innovative WD Red. The Raijintek Metis Plus Chassis in a Fresh Design

Raijintek has released a new version of Mini-ITX chassis, called Metis Plus. There are several colour solutions of this specialty: red, black, silver, white, blue, green and gold. The motherboard plate, dust filter and other parts are black.



The framework is manufactured out of 1.5 mm anodized aluminum, 0.5 mm SPCC steel and acryl (the side panel window).


According to the specification, this chassis can hold four 2.5-inch and one 3.5-inch drives or two 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch SSD/HDD and a 120 mm liquid-cooling system heatsink, which can be mounted only at bundled 120 mm backlit fan disassembly. The max size of the motherboard to be installed is 170 × 170 mm (Mini-ITX), of the graphics card – 170 × 160 × 40 mm, of the CPU cooler – 160 mm. The interface panel on the top has two USB 3.0 connectors, as well as headphone and microphone jacks.
