TP-Link Unleashes a New Router with Built-In Battery

Following the general tendencies in PC market, router segment also takes the direction towards compactness. Model TL-MR3040 is attributed exactly to compact solutions with one peculiar feature: built-in battery for 2000 mAh. The battery is able to operate up to four hours as access point under 802.11n standard. Router might be powered as from network adapter, so from a laptop via USB cable.

Recently the ASUS Co. has replenished its range of small-sized computers with the VivoMini UN65U sample, operated by the Windows 10 OS and based on the Intel Kaby Lake hardware platform.



The top version is equipped with the Core i7-7500U processor, the chipset has two cores with the 2.7 GHz frequency, which dynamically increases to 3.5 GHz. The Intel HD Graphics 620 accelerator is also installed. The capacity of the DDR4-2133 memory may reach 32 GB.


This minicomputer may obtain a 1 TB 2.5-inch HDD and a 512 GB М.2 SSD. Optionally one can mount the latest Intel Optane memory.

Za razliku od desktop PC bogat asortiman guma za ulaz/izlaz, prijenosna računala imaju minimalnim mogućnostima za povezivanje perifernih uređaja. Često u opremanje лэптопов, ультрабуков i nettop uključen ne više od tri-četiri sučelja USB, priključci LPT, PS/2 i COM mogu i ne postojati. Sličan problem postoji i s instalacijom kartica za proširenje. Ipak, mobilni uređaji imaju adut – priključak za PCMCIA.

Priključak PCMCIA – to je vrsta periferne sučelje klase laptop. On vam omogućuje da proširi funkcionalnost računala kroz povezivanje kompatibilnih hardverskih komponenti, za koje treba skinuti driver za PCMCIA uređaja. Ključne prednosti ovog sučelja – mogućnost hot-plug opreme (veza dok motor računalu) i visoke brzine prijenosa podataka.

Standard PCMCIA ima nekoliko varijanti. Najčešći od njih je 32-bitna verzija Sabirnice, podržava radnu frekvenciju do 33 Mhz i način upravljanja autobusom. U ovoj verziji provodi posebna tehnologija za uštedu energije; ona aktivira priključeni uređaj samo prema potrebi.

Treba napomenuti da su sve karte s priključkom PCMCIA se dijele na tri vrste. U prvu vrstu spadaju uređaja debljine 3.3 mm i 16-bitnim sučeljem; drugi tip uključuje karte debljine 5 mm s 16-/32-bitnim sučeljem, a treći tip kartice debljine 10.5 mm sa sličnim opcijama sučelja. Za postavljanje veze između OS laptopa i priključuje komponenta koriste poseban NA – vozač za PCMCIA uređaja.
