Last six years the Intel HEDT (High-End DeskTop) platform has been the leader at the market of highly-efficient desktop user systems because of simple absence of competitors. This fact allowed Intel to set the standards of new technologies integration, the changes extent, time limits of new processing units outcome, and, of course, of their price.


The price for premium class processing units by Intel, (the Skylake-X line is among them) is usually high. However, now Intel faces pressure from the opponents’ side, that’s why the price for LGA2066-microchips is pretty lower than usually.

If to compare with the processing units of Broadwell-E line with the same quantity of computing cores the cheapening turns to me more than 40 percents, and considering the initial price of HEDT-class CPU, it flows into some hundreds dollars.

Deepcool Launches the Follower of Big Frost Cooler

Deepcool, a Chinese supplier of various cooling systems, is going to release a follower of Big Frost model that saw the light last July. The new product has been given an attribute 'Extreme Edition' and is currently codenamed Big Frost Extreme Edition. This cooler takes the basis of the predecessor, though still features some unique options.



Therefore, Big Frost Extreme Edition is distinguished by a nickel coverage of copper heat pipes and polished base surface that is in direct touch with CPU lid. Deepcool equips its cooler with two 120 mm fans (UF120) which are monitored by PWM controller. Their maximal rotational speed is estimated at 1500 r/m. Both fans ensure the utmost CPU cooling and proper airflow distribution.


According to the preliminary data claimed by the manufacturer, Big Frost Extreme Edition will be compatible with such desktop platforms as AMD FM1, FM2, AM2/AM2+, AM3/AM3+ and Intel LGA2011, LGA1366, LGA115x.

Le funzioni di reti telefoniche negli ultimi anni è notevolmente migliorata, soprattutto grazie a speciali tecnologie, aumentando la larghezza di banda della linea. A tali tecnologie si riferisce xDSL (Digital subscriber line), che applica i codici lineari e di adattamento strumenti di correzione della distorsione delle linee. Per il collegamento con la linea telefonica presa di utilizzare particolari dispositivi (modem), per i quali sono installati i driver per xDSL modem.

Adattatori xDSL sono progettati per aumentare notevolmente la velocità di trasmissione dei dati in linea e, a differenza di standard analogici o digitali modem che supportano la trasmissione di messaggi vocali e video. Questo crea vantaggi per l'utente finale e per il fornitore.

Va notato che la prima lettera dell'acronimo – x – sostituisce la designazione del primo carattere del nome di un particolare standard di tecnologia. Oggi diffuse le seguenti norme:

  • ADSL fornisce due possibilità di trasmettere dati ad una velocità di 8.192 Mb/sec. da un fornitore all'utente e fino a 768 Kb/sec. dall'utente al fornitore.
  • ADSL G.lite offre due percorsi di trasferimento dati: simmetrica e asimmetrica. Nel primo caso, la tecnologia fornisce una larghezza di banda fino a 384 Kb/sec. in entrambe le direzioni; nel secondo caso la velocità di trasferimento dal provider all'utente è di 1.536 Mb/sec., e da utente a fornitore – 384 Kb/sec. Per ottenere le massime prestazioni, si consiglia di scaricare i driver per xDSL modem.
  • IDSL per lavoro utilizza chip principale di accesso BRI ISDN, fornendo larghezza di banda fino a 128 Kb/sec.
  • DDSL – versione banda larga DSL tecnologia con accesso alla linea di Frame Relay con larghezza di banda fino a 768 Kb/sec.
  • Slow down start living trasmette i dati al simmetrica linea. La velocità di trasmissione può variare a seconda dei parametri fisici della linea.
  • HDSL ha una elevata velocità di trasmissione dati – da 1.5 Mb/sec. e più in entrambe le direzioni.
  • VDSL – iperveloce linea digitale, che fornisce la larghezza di banda a livello di 52 Mb/sec.
