Gigabyte GR-EZI04H: NAS for Home-Based Platforms

Gigabyte is going to release a new data storage intended specifically for home use. Codenamed GR-EZI04H, this NAS is housed in a black casing and features 220x183x146 mm dimensions. The storage is based on the combination of two-core Intel Atom D2500 processor (clock frequency 1.8 GHz) and Intel ICH10R south bridge. It is estimated for four 3.5-inch drives of up to 3TB in capacity each. Each of the drives should employ SATA II interface.



The overall volume of DDR3 RAM (1066 MHz) can achieve 4GB. This data storage is controlled by Windows Home Server 2011 or Embedded Linux OS platforms. All interface in/outputs are located on the rear panel. Here one can find a couple of USB 2.0 and the same number of USB 3.0 ports, a single D-Sub port, one DC input, and two more RJ-45 sockets. The German Sharkoon Company has announced the release of its new SilentStorm Icewind supply units family. This line includes three models with the 550, 650 and 750 W nominal power, featuring semi modular cables connection and 80 Plus Bronze energy performance certificates.



These supply boxes are able to put out 100% of their nominal-rated power at 12 V. SilentStorm Icewind products are secured from abnormal modes. The 135 mm fan, built on the ball bearing with automatic rotary speed control depending on the supply unit load, chills the devices.

Thermaltake Releases a New Toughpower DPS PSU Series

Thermaltake, a well-known Taiwanese hardware manufacturer, announces an official release of a new PSU series, entitled Toughpower DPS. The series includes two models of 750 W and 850 W capacities. Their major peculiarity is an advanced monitoring system that is run due to USB-connection and Smart DPSApp application.



Both models correspond to EPS12V v2.92 and ATX12V v2.31 standards and are marked by 80Plus Gold certificate due to a high efficiency rate. Moreover, they support the newest Haswell platform and own Haswell Ready certificate.


Thermaltake Toughpower DPS power supply units are furnished with dedicated sockets for the connection of modular cables.
