De interactie van computers in een NETWERK en hun Internet verbinding zou niet mogelijk zijn zonder speciale diensten van het netwerk. Deze diensten zorgen voor de uitwisseling van gegevens tussen machines, het verlenen van externe toegang tot apparatuur en bestanden op elke PC op het netwerk, en kunt u voor het uitvoeren van verschillende online activiteiten (bv. het verzenden van e-mails, het organiseren van video, enz.). Voor het maken van een dergelijk netwerk, moet u eerst een stuurprogramma ' s downloaden voor netwerk services en protocollen.

Gebruik maken van alle functies (services) die door een netwerk service op een PC is het aan te bevelen de service aan de klant. Voor dezelfde service u kunt meerdere klanten die verschillen in functionaliteit en interface. Wanneer u toegang hebt tot de server met een verzoek van een client gebruikt een specifiek Protocol (regel voor de server-service).

Voor de implementatie van het Protocol in de kosten van een speciaal apparaat – routers. Hun belangrijkste taak is om te combineren afzonderlijke netwerken in een enkele samengestelde netwerk van gedeelde toegang tot gegevens. Een router bepaalt de optimale route, rekening houdend met criteria zoals de tijd van passage van een route en de kwaliteit van de verbinding.

Alle bestaande diensten worden uitgevoerd op twee manieren: network operating system (bestand en print service) en systeem-apps/tools (databases, faxen). Configureren van elke individuele dienst is het gebruikelijk om de stuurprogramma ' s voor de netwerk services en protocollen.

Daarnaast zijn er afzonderlijke diensten, maar niet voor de gewone gebruiker en systeem beheerders. Ze worden gebruikt voor het organiseren van het werk in een lokaal netwerk als geheel, alsmede voor monitoring van netwerkverkeer, de analyse, het beheer van user accounts en andere activiteiten in het bijzonder.
