Scythe Intros a Universal CPU Cooler Iori

Scythe, a renowned developer of cooling solutions, introduces a new CPU cooler, entitled Iori. Due to an offbeat framework, the model is primarily targeting small-sized systems with mini-ITX and micro-ATX motherboards. It is compatible with practically all modern platforms (Intel 775/115x/1366 and AMD FM1/FM2/FM2+/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+), save for Intel LGA2011 and AMD Socket AM1. Scythe Iori is all about nickel-plated heatsink with a copper base, three heatpipes that pierce the plates twice, and a single 100 mm axial GlideStream 100 fan, located on the top of the framework. The latter employs a sleeve bearing and supports PWM technology. It enables the variation of rotational speeds within the ranges of 300-1800 RPM. Shuttle Unveils XPC KS10 NAS with Support for WEP Encoding

Shuttle, a renowned Taiwanese designer of mini-PCs and barebone systems, has unveiled its newest NAS – the XPC KS10. It is housed in a solid aluminum case, featuring 124x60x205 mm dimensions. One of the major peculiarities pertained to the model is the support for WEP 64/128-bit encoding, as well as for WPA and WPA2 standards.



Shuttle XPC KS10 is developed on SoC Marvell 88F6707 processor (800 MHz frequency) on the basis of ARM Cortex-A7 cores. It is accompanied by 256 MB RAM, 1 GB flash-memory, and SD/SDXC/SDHC card reader with automatic copying option. The manufacturer insists that this NAS might be employed not only as network storage but also as a media server with DLNA support, FTP server, iTunes server, or print server.

Scythe Launches One More Chassis with Austere Design

Many customers know Scythe primarily for its delivery of high-end coolers. Nevertheless, the company is gradually extending its assortment by other PC components. Thus, it decided to launch a new brand PC chassis, codenamed Case by Case 3, that will be distributed initially on the internal market. The model is developed in mid-tower form-factor and features classical austere design. Steel casing is totally painted black (from the inside and outside).



Case by Case 3 is able to accommodate motherboards of ATX and micro-ATX standard. As it was mentioned before, the chassis is characterized by austerity in design and absence of any ornamental elements or distracting insertions in framework.
