A Pair of New Graphics Cards Radeon HD 7950 Boost Edition from MSI

MSI has replenished its series of Radeon HD 7950 graphics cards with a pair of new Boost Edition models. Codenamed R7950-3GD5 BE and R7950-3GD5/OC BE, both adapters feature practically identical to the first two releases (of the very series) design. Aerocool Launches Mid-Tower CyberX and CyberX Advance Cases, Aimed at Gamers with Scarce Funds

Aerocool adds a new sample to its PC cases model line, namely CyberX. This specialty, intended for gamers with the limited budget, is already available in Europe at the price of €45.



CyberX with the 435 х 205 х 424 mm dimensions and the 4.3 kg weight is in its most part manufactured out of 0.6 mm steel. This chassis holds motherboards of the ATX, Mini-ITX and microATX form factors. Inside there is enough room for seven 360 mm expansion cards, two 2.5” and a couple of 3.5” drives, ATX-compatible power supply unit and a 5.25-inch device, behind the front cover.

HP Believes Its Portable Z VR Backpack Workstation Will Be of Benefit not Only to Gamers, but to Professionals As Well

At present many companies produce VR-compatible portable PCs performed in the shape of a backpack. Most of them are designed for gaming purposes; however, HP developers believe these systems can be also useful in professional spheres.



At the SIGGRAPH 2017 conference, HP presented its wearable HP Z VR Backpack workstation, resembling a backpack. The manufacturer claims it to be the most effective among similar devices due to the 4-core Intel Core i7-7820HQ mobile CPU, operating at the 2.9–3.9 GHz frequency, and the high-end mobile NVIDIA Quadro P5200 video card, based on the Pascal GP104 graphics processor with 2,048 CUDAs and the 16 GB GDDR5 memory. Storage capability is ensured by the 32 GB DDR4-2400 RAM and up to 1 TB SSD.

Computer monitor – a device for visual display of information. Of course, this is the most primitive explanation of the term, understandable for the novice and advanced user. Modern monitors are structurally composed of a housing, a display (screen), power supply and control boards, but the hardware of each model varies significantly. For the proper functioning of any of the implemented features meet the special programs driver for monitors.

There are a number of overarching criteria that will help you to choose optimal solutions:

  • the diagonal of the screen. Diagonal or simply the screen size can vary from 15 to 32 inches. For ordinary domestic purposes will approach the solution with a standard diagonal (17-19 inches).   • backlight. To improve the color reproduction of the display and reduce its power consumption manufacturers to massively introduce in the device LEDillumination (led). Models with LED technology are more expensive than standard bulbs, but the operation is quite energy efficient;
  • the type of matrix. The cost of the monitor depends on the type of applied matrix. There are devices on matrixes TN, IPS, PLS and VA. The matrix TN are the most available because they are unable to provide wide viewing angles. Their main advantage – the minimum response time for smooth playback of dynamic images. Matrix IPS are characterized by maximum viewing angles, excellent color reproduction, but can not boast of a quick response. Matrix PLS provide high brightness and wide viewing angles, but is not able to provide quick response. Finally, the matrix VA and their variants PVA/MVA are of high contrast, optimal color reproduction and a small response time; in order to improve image quality and optimize the parameters for your personal need, you need to download drivers for monitors for free;
  • audio. Most modern monitors come to the market with a built-in audio subsystem in the form of stereo speakers. Of course, they are no substitute for external speakers on the part of sound quality, but when using the device as a TV they are quite able to satisfy user requests;
