Scythe Intros a Universal CPU Cooler Iori

Scythe, a renowned developer of cooling solutions, introduces a new CPU cooler, entitled Iori. Due to an offbeat framework, the model is primarily targeting small-sized systems with mini-ITX and micro-ATX motherboards. It is compatible with practically all modern platforms (Intel 775/115x/1366 and AMD FM1/FM2/FM2+/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+), save for Intel LGA2011 and AMD Socket AM1. Scythe Iori is all about nickel-plated heatsink with a copper base, three heatpipes that pierce the plates twice, and a single 100 mm axial GlideStream 100 fan, located on the top of the framework. The latter employs a sleeve bearing and supports PWM technology. It enables the variation of rotational speeds within the ranges of 300-1800 RPM. Herein, the fan is able to produce up to 43.74 CFM at the maximal noise level of 26.7 dB.

Shuttle Unveils XPC KS10 NAS with Support for WEP Encoding

Shuttle, a renowned Taiwanese designer of mini-PCs and barebone systems, has unveiled its newest NAS – the XPC KS10. It is housed in a solid aluminum case, featuring 124x60x205 mm dimensions. One of the major peculiarities pertained to the model is the support for WEP 64/128-bit encoding, as well as for WPA and WPA2 standards.



Shuttle XPC KS10 is developed on SoC Marvell 88F6707 processor (800 MHz frequency) on the basis of ARM Cortex-A7 cores. It is accompanied by 256 MB RAM, 1 GB flash-memory, and SD/SDXC/SDHC card reader with automatic copying option. The manufacturer insists that this NAS might be employed not only as network storage but also as a media server with DLNA support, FTP server, iTunes server, or print server.

Scythe Launches One More Chassis with Austere Design

Many customers know Scythe primarily for its delivery of high-end coolers. Nevertheless, the company is gradually extending its assortment by other PC components. Thus, it decided to launch a new brand PC chassis, codenamed Case by Case 3, that will be distributed initially on the internal market. The model is developed in mid-tower form-factor and features classical austere design. Steel casing is totally painted black (from the inside and outside).



Case by Case 3 is able to accommodate motherboards of ATX and micro-ATX standard. As it was mentioned before, the chassis is characterized by austerity in design and absence of any ornamental elements or distracting insertions in framework.
