Welcome a Novelty from Acer – a 38” XR382CQK Monitor

Once again Acer decided to impress customers and launched an advanced 38-inch monitor under the XR382CQK codename. The Taiwan company has produced a specialty with a refined curved IPS-panel featuring a 2.3 m curvature radius, 10 bits of colour precision and the 100% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut.



The resolution of Acer XR382CQK is 3,440 х 1,600 pixels. This product offers the 5 msec response time, the 75 Hz refresh rate, the 300 cd/m² brightness, as well as 172° and 178° view angles (horizontally and vertically respectively).


On the backside of the device one can find a DisplayPort, an HDMI, a four-port USB 3.0 hub and a Type-C USB 3.0 connector. The 7 W stereospeakers and the AMD FreeSync technology support should also be highlighted.


The XR382CQK display by Acer is already available to official retailers at the estimated cost of $1,300.

Corsair Introduces a Spacious 'Godzilla' PC Case

Corsair, known for its multifarious PC hardware products line, has introduced its new chassis with a promising name Obsidian 900D Godzilla. The attribute 'Godzilla' speaks for itself: the case features truly voluminous dimensions of 655x694x251 mm. Its weight is also impressive and its internal layout is ready to welcome the whole galaxy of motherboards of different form-factor, including ATX, XL-ATX, E-ATX, HP-ATX.



Obsidian 900D Godzilla goes in black coloring and one of its side panels is equipped with a transparent acrylic window that uncovers some internal components. Such impressive dimensions offer free spacing for the integration of fifteen (!) 3.5-inch (or 2.5-inch) drives, ten PCI expansions cards, and four bays for the drives of 5.25-inch dimensional type. The input/output interface panel is represented by 3.5 mm audio connectors, a pair of USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 ports.

Napetost šokov v električno omrežje ali nenaden izpad energije – najbolj pogosti vzroki za izgubo podatkov in motenj v delovanju RAČUNALNIKA. Da bi preprečili tak priložnost pomaga tudi brezprekinitveno napajanje (UPS) – samodejna naprava, ki zagotavlja povezano opremo z neprekinjeno napajanje. Da bi za vir za učinkovito delo z RAČUNALNIKOM, je potrebno pred uporabo prenesti gonilnik za UPS.

Vse UPS trg lahko razdelimo na 3 vrste, glede na notranjo strukturo: Pripravljenost, Line-Interaktivne in On-Line.

Model tip Pripravljenosti predstavljajo prenapetostna zaščita z baterijo in napetost Pretvornika. Ko je omrežna napetost je na voljo, računalnik deluje neposredno iz električnega omrežja in usmernik napajanje UPS. V primeru moč val, ali pomanjkanje, naprava sproži stikalo, ki aktivira inverter, ki pa se začne za vir PC iz baterije.

Prednosti modelov Pripravljenosti – cenovno ugodne cene in možnost opravljanja opreme z dodatno moč od tri do petindvajset minut po izpadu električne energije. Glavna slabost takšne rešitve je ostro preklapljanje moč baterije, tudi na nizki napetosti, ki zmanjšuje življenjsko dobo naprave.

UPS tip Line-Interactive (line-interactive) so bolj učinkovite v nestabilnih omrežij. Njihova strojna oprema uporablja samodejna napetost krmilniki (ang. AVR – automatic voltage control), ki vklopite RAČUNALNIK na baterije, v primeru velik val, ko odstopanja napetosti ali nenadne izgube napajanja. Poleg tega na vrsto naprave, ki je kot nalašč za veliko število uporabnikov, če prenesete gonilnik za UPS in izvedite fino nastavitev naprave.

Tretji tip brezprekinitveno napajanje je namenjen za profesionalno uporabo. Na srce On-Line modele dual power Converter in kompleksna shema interakcije napajalni transformator, usmernik napetosti in inverter. Glavna razlika On-Line UPS iz zgornjih dveh naprav – v nekaj tisočinkah sekunde zakasnitve pri prehodu iz omrežno napajanje na baterije. Ker je RAČUNALNIK, ki je vedno povezan z inverter, zakasnitve močnostna stikala ne zgodi.
