MSI, a global designer of different PC hardware items, updated its ATX motherboards line with a new model X79A-GD45 Plus. As it’s seen from the codename, the board is based on Intel X79 Express system logics and is estimated for the integration of Intel Sandy Bridge-E CPUs for LGA2011 socket. According to preliminary information, a recommended price for the new item will fluctuate within the measures of $200-$250.



Motherboard X79A-GD45 Plus from MSI is furnished with 9-phase power subsystem and two heatsinks of different framework template. This subsystem has been developed with the implementation of DrMOS II technology relied on high-quality components which comply with Military Class III concept. KingFast, a Chinese developer and supplier of high-end SSD solutions, decided to present quite a new approach in data caching by releasing a dedicated solid-state drive version. Model K25 Ultra-Cache is designed in 2.5-inch form-factor and is basically destined to fulfill various data caching procedures on availability of a slack HDD that can't cope with caching efficiently. In other words, this drive will add the required speed to the PC in which OS is installed on a traditional HDD. The most beneficial thing is that the customer won't have to deinstall OS in order to enhance the system by K25 Ultra-Cache.



This drive is equipped with 32GB of NAND MLC flash-memory and employs SATA 3Gb/sec interface. It should be mentioned that caching option is realized by means of a pre-installed Nvelo DataPlex program that facilitates all processes. The estimated consecutive Read speed achieves the margin of 270MB/sec, while consecutive Write speed is recorded at 190MB/sec.

Phanteks decided to amaze the public by releasing a new high-performance cooler PH-TC12DX that is able to cope with practically any up-to-date CPU from Intel or AMD. The sales campaign has started from the USA market where the model goes at $55-$60; the price depends on the color version: coolers with black fan impellers and heatsinks go at $55, while models with red, blue or write components cost $60.



Phanteks PH-TC12DX features tower-like framework. Its construction consists of two heatsink blocks, four U-shape heat pipes that pierce those blocks, and two voluminous 120 mm fans which are located on both sides of aluminum heatsink blocks. The latter are designed with an unusual shape of impellers, known as Maelstrom Vortex Booster (MVB). This cooler is equipped with PWM controller that monitors and regulates fan rotational speed; thus, the speed might be adjusted to the minimal 600 RPM and to the maximal 1800 RPM.
