Monitor AOC i2252Vwh belongs to the flotilla of wide-screen products and is able to satisfy the needs of people appreciating outstanding color rendering and contrast.
Monitor AOC i2252Vwh is based on IPS architecture and goes with 1920x1080 resolution. Screen casing, standing and base are made of solid plastic with dull surface. The screen is equipped with LED indicator and is differentiated by the glare absence due to the dull texture. Five control buttons and status display are located in the bottom-right angle; button designations are impressed on the frontal frame. Interface, power and Kensington lock sockets found their places at the rear plate. Lower grids contain a couple of loudspeakers which can substitute the external audio systems. The monitor accommodates an integrated PSU. This implies the availability of ventilation grids.
Standing base is amplified by webbing and owns an ergonomic power. Its structure allows the user to lean the screen within the ranges of -3° up to 19°. Large area of the base secures appropriate durability and safely fixes the monitor on the surface. Moreover, it is possible to detach the screen from the stand and fix it on the wall due to the dedicated VESA bracket.
AOC i2252Vwh is furnished with three-type inputs: VGA, HDMI and DVI-D. HDMI is able to receive digital audio signals which are produced in analogue format (after the conversion) to the integrated loudspeakers and 3.5 mm mini-jack slot. This slot is destined for the connection with the headsets or external acoustic system. DVI-D input supports HDCP technology which enables the connection with the player equipped with HDMI-output (when employed with adapter connector).
All display adjustments are accomplished due to the standard settings. Color temperature is set by means of four integrated profiles, while the adjustment of three colors scheme — by manual setup. Gamma List consists of three gamma-correction profiles: Economic – pre-installed intensity settings, DCB – dedicated color correction profiles, DCB Demo – demonstrates the upgraded images. When choosing the latter profile, the screen is divided in two parts; the first part demonstrates the initial image, and the second one – the adjusted one. In addition, the display is known to work in DCR mode which automatically lowers the intensity of dark images, and heightens the intensity on bright images.
There are only two modes of geometric transformations. The first mode enables the forced image elongation to the entire screen area; the second mode enables the image elongation to the screen borders with the preservation of 4:3 ratio.
The adjustment of VGA-signal parameters is realized automatically; gray scale is able to display all color casts. VGA, as well as other types of connections DVI and HDMI, supports 1920x1080 resolution at 60 snapshots/sec. Under such resolution framework, the intensity and sharpness of colors can achieve the maximal index. Clear Vision mode enables the improvement of counter sharpness only in half-tone.
