Minimalism in new Lian-Li PC-Q25 hull

The market of computer components is growing rapidly. The developers of processors integrate in them elements of system logic, graphics core and other components that were recently placed on the motherboard in the form of individual chips. Motherboard manufacturers have begun to integrate their products with network and sound chips even earlier. All this allows making motherboards, and as a result, systems based on them more compact. The company Lian-Li have understood this tendency and provided the market with the entire line of compact hull designed for motherboard size Mini-ITX.

Consider the model Lian-Li PC-Q25:

— Hull Type — Mini-Tower;

— Dimensions in mm — 280 (H) x 199 (W) x 366 (D);

— Material – Aluminium;

— Weight, kg — 3.1;

— Color: Black / White;

— Form Factor — Mini-ITX/Mini-DTX;

— Devices 3.5 "/ 2.5" internal — 7/3;

— Supported number of expansion cards – 2;

— Fans 1x 140mm, 1x 120mm;

PSD520 SSD-Drives from Transcend are Already in the Market

Transcend representatives has recently announced the launch of their new product 2.5-inch PSD520 SSD-drive. According to the company’s concept, PSD520 are destined to secure high performance showings as well as prolonged reliability. Such specifications were achieved due to the implementation of flash microchips with single-layer cell memory location (SLC). Those microchips are able to sustain up to a dozen times more rewriting cycles as compared with multi-layer cell microchips.

SLC microchips have an improved system of defects recovery which enables more efficient operation of the correction system. Moreover, SLC is distinguished by the lesser correlation of defects number per rewriting cycles; such peculiarity allows the correction system to identify the problem and to execute the recovery much faster. As a result, PSD520 drive manifests promising showings in start-up time, as well as the advanced system sensitivity and high data transfer rate which approximates up to 102 …

ASRock Z77 Extreme6/TB4 will get four ports Thunderbolt

The company ASRock, as well as Gigabyte, appreciates the prospects of cutting-edge interface Thunderbolt, so much that it has supplied motherboard Z77 Extreme6/TB4 with four corresponding slots. The novelty is based on existing models with the prefix Extreme6, but its layout is slightly different from the original. In particular, the place of mini-PCIe slots and a pair of PCI slots are occupied with PCI-E x1, and PCI-E x4.

For those who don’t remember all specification, there is a reminder: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 uses a bunch of processor socket LGA1155 for two-and quad-core CPU Ivy Bridge (22 nm) and Sandy Bridge (32nm) chipset and overclocking Intel Z77 Express. The exact specifications of the new model are not listed. Its predecessor could work with three video adapters Radeon in 3-Way CrossFire (x8 + x4 + x4) or two GeForce in SLI (x8 + x8), DDR3 memory with a frequency of 2800 MHz and above, had a four-channel SATA 6 Gb / s and the same number of SATA 3 Gb / s and USB 3.0.
