In nearly two years after the announcement of the hull Define R3, Fractal Design Company announced the release of its ideological successor. New, executed in the same minimalist style, has received the designation Define R4.

The hull is designed to install motherboard sizes ATX, Micro ATX and Mini ATX, and eight expansion cards. Define R4 design provides for two external 5.25-inch bay size, as well as ten internal, eight — to set the size 3.5-inch HDD, two — for the installation of SSD size 2.5 inches.

As for the cooling system, it involves the installation of up to seven fans: two front, one rear, two top, one bottom and one side. The package includes two fans Silent Series R2, front and rear. Intel will lower prices for old and new SSD-drives

Over time, more and more manufacturers of computer equipment are connected to the production of solid-state drives. Conventional consumer SSD are fairly simple to manufacture and chip NAND flash memory and controllers are always available from proven companies. Of all the manufacturers of SSD for the mass market, Intel maybe has not best reputation, still quite high. Using this, the Corporation of Santa Clara sets high prices of their SSDs, not fearing for the sales.

However, as suggested by experts, the pressure from competitors will still force Intel company

to go for price concessions for customers. Reducing of prices on popular drives series SSD

320, SSD 330 and SSD 520 is expected in August this year. Top products will lose most of

all, but also drives of the entry level, in particular 330-series, will be much more accessible to

consumers.

Below are stated all prices and possible devaluation. Old price is indicated in parentheses.

SP600 is going to have SATA III interface with the throughput capacity of 6 Gb/sec. The series will house NAND MLC flash-memory chips and JMicron JMF661 controller.

This way, Adata aims to attract customers who require outstanding performance but, at the same time, who cannot afford buying too expensive drives. In addition, this model will suit those people who would like to transit their systems from traditional hard drives to more efficient SSD solutions.

Adata SP600 will be delivered in three volume capacities, — 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB – which will be developed in 2.5-inch form-factor. All models provide for the reduction of OS loading time and the increase of overall system speed, if compared with standard HDD performance. These SSDs ensure the data transfer speed at levels of 360 …
