Radiator Deepcool with a frightening name is big and heavy, takes three adjacent PCI-E slots, and is expensive, but the efficiency is worth of consideration. About a year ago, the company Deepcool Industries Co., Ltd. released a cooler for graphics cards with high-sounding name Dracula.



The model has proved very successful, it stood out with very high level of efficiency and, most importantly, it is compatible with many video cards. But during time after release of «Dracula» AMD and NVIDIA have released new video cards, with some of which the cooler is not compatible. In particular, the lower the location of the GPU chip Tahiti requires revision of the cooler and Deepcool was not losing time, releasing a second version of Dracula.

Toshiba is engaged in improving the existing hard drives in order to increase their capacity. Limited to several tens of terabytes, Japanese do not want to stop — they need at least 600 terabytes in a single 3.5-inch drive. The newly formed trio of producers focuses on the development of new technologies of recording information on magnetic media and improvement of existing methods. Alliance sees great prospective in the technology of the so-called «two-dimensional magnetic recording» (TDMR). It is experimental, but using, it is quite achievable to record density of 10 terabits per square inch, which thus gives the capacity of 600 terabytes in a single hard drive.


Of course, no one talks about the chances of such a capacious storage in the foreseeable future — Toshiba and its partners will have more than one year of research …

Entitled Full Copper and Full Nickel, both products are attributed to the universal cooling solutions, due to the incorporation of special fixtures which are known to show compatibility with all contemporary desktop processors. Hence, their mounting might be realized without the engaging of any tools.


The major differentiation between the two models lies in the enclosure: Full Copper features a copper base and a copper waterblock lid, while Full Nickel is distinguished by all nickel coverage. At the same time, both novices have got similar framework of the base with an advanced system of micro-channels. The surface of copper base itself is thoroughly polished to provide for a better adhesion to the CPU cover.
