Noctua, an Austrian developer and supplier of high-end cooling systems, is well-known for the design of versatile products which are able to satisfy the needs of any consumer, starting from average home users and finishing with devotees of overclocking. The recent Noctua creation is the low-profile CPU cooler destined to be employed in HTPC systems and other compact chassis. This cooler is characterized by the horizontal localization of radiator that allows its installation into a quite narrow casing. Century Japan is planning to launch in home market its new external data storage system stipulated for the installation of four hard drives. Codenamed CRCH35U3IS, this storage features 260x130x185 mm dimensions. It is able to accommodate 3.5-inch, as well as 2.5-inch drives with dedicated adapters, which support SATA 3 6 Gb/sec interface. The storage is connected to the PC with the help of high-speed USB 3.0 port.



The availability of four switches on the frontal plate of the casing is thought to be a basic distinctive feature of Century CRCH35U3IS system. Those switches allow the customers to monitor the power supply for each drive independently.


The storage receives power from a built-in power supply unit, while the ventilation activity is secured by a fan, located on the rear part within the casing. It is controlled by means of PWM technology and a special thermal sensor that enables forced activation and deactivation of rotational process.

SilverStone Technology, a Taiwanese designer of high-performance cooling systems and steel/aluminum chassis, is going to supplement its production line with a new PC case SG05-Lite that joined SilverStone Sugo series. An official release is scheduled for early May and the manufacturer has already unveiled the recommended price for the product: about €33. The case is developed in mini-ITX form-factor and features 276x222x176 mm dimensions.



PC case SG05-Lite is made of stainless steel but for the frontal panel that is made of plastic. The model will be available in two color variations (totally black and totally white) and will be beneficial for the assembling of high-efficiency but small-sized systems.
