After the release of REX8 series, Sharkoon decided to replenish its line of chassis with a new entry-level series. The series has been entitled REX3 and is currently represented by Value and Economy models. Both models are designed in Midi-Tower form factor and are ready to accept the motherboards of micro-ATX/ATX dimensional type. The other distinctive feature of the upcoming models is their price, which is targeted to attract the customers with modest and medium financial possibilities.



Chassis REX3 Value and REX3 Economy differ from their predecessors, REX8 models, by the availability of three instead of four bays for 5.25-inch drives which have the output to the frontal panel. Thermaltake Technology, a renowned Taiwanese designer of varied PC hardware pieces, is going to release its new original water-cooling system, codenamed Bigwater 760 Pro. This cooler is targeting powerful processors that require no less powerful cooling. The product demonstrates a wide compatibility with all novel processors that support Socket LGA775, LGA1366, LGA115x, LGA2011, FM1, FM2, AM2(+), and AM3(+).



Bigwater 760 Pro consists of three major parts: waterblock, head block and a couple of hoses. The implemented waterblock features nickeled-copper base of 45x35 mm dimensions. The head block features 252.8x145.8x84 mm dimensions and takes two 5.25-inch bays within the chassis. Its framework involves a pump, a heatsink and a tank for coolant.

Sapphire Technology Ltd. is going to release a new graphics card on Tahiti LE chip. Codenamed Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic, the card is one of the first models to use the newest GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. The suffix 'GHz Edition' in the model's name witnesses that the nominal GPU clock frequency exceeds the index of 1 GHz.



The core of Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic is based on Graphics Core Next architecture and contains 1536 current processors. The card's inventory involves 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus interface. The memory modules are known to operate at 6000 MHz frequency. GPU operational frequencies are still not clarified, but it's possible to assume that on activation of AMD PowerTune option the card will demonstrate some outstanding performance. In fact, analysts dare saying that this model is the most efficient one among all other solutions based on Tahiti LE chip.
