Review of video card ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DC/2DI/1GD5

ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DC/2DI/1GD5 model does not belong to the category of the best among the GeForce GTX 560 Ti, but the product is quite unusual, and deserves some attention. It comes in a big box. Delivery includes: adapter DVI / D-Sub; adapter mini-HDMI/HDMI; two power supply with two 4-pin molex to PCI-E 6-pin; CD with software; instruction. Video card is made in dark colours: PCB and enclosure of cooling system in black. Externally it is very similar to many of other ASUS video cards.

The cooling system is the radiator using three pipes instead of two. Heat pipes have direct contact with the surface of the GPU. They fit tightly in the grooves of the aluminum base. Blowing fan is placed between two raised sections of the radiator. And for a good blow of extreme areas it requires powerful air flow, which means higher fan speed. There is Everflow T129215SU fan with diameter of 92 mm (actual diameter of the blades a little less). The PCB is different from the standard and made in …

Apacer Launches Memory Cards of SD and CF Format

Apacer Technology, world-known manufacturer of digital storage devices and memory cards, has introduced in a stately manner its latest ‘creations’, memory cards of SD and CF format, codenamed SD-M and CompactFlash5. The key feature of new products is the extended temperature range which allows the cards to show good operability under conditions of low temperatures (from -40 degrees centigrade) up to extremely high temperatures (to +85 degrees centigrade). The applied technology promoted for the expansion of these memory cards to a variety of areas, including aviation, military and automotive electronics.

According to the words of Apacer’s representatives, their memory cards are full-blown solid state drives with SD and CF interfaces. SD-M and CompactFlash5 are based on MLC NAND flash memory.

Memory cards with SD interface support SD 2.0 and Class 10 specifications, and will go in four volume capacity variants: 4, 8, 16, and 32 GB. Those cards are known to develop …

MSI B75IA-E33 - cost-effective Mini-ITX board for processors Ivy Bridge

In early August, it was mentioned about the fact that MSI developer of motherboards is preparing to release three new products in the form factor Mini-ITX on chipsets A85, B75, and Z77. As it turned out, the first low-cost board will be MSI B75IA-E33 — it will start selling in Europe at the end of this week at prices ranging from € 95.

The functionality of this product is limited with respect to the other two models; however, a set of components in B75IA-E33 is very decent. LGA1155 processor socket is energized by three phases (provides additional power to the ATX12V 4-pin), hidden under a small cooler chipset Intel B75. Available one connector PCI Express 3.0 x16, two slots for memory modules DDR3-1066/1333/1600 total up to 16 GB, SATA port 6Gb / s and SATA 3 Gbit / s (3 units) to connect storage devices.

A pair of USB 3.0 on the rear panel are completed with a 19-pin connector on the PCB, through which on the front panel I / O can be taken two SuperSpeed USB. The …
