The inventory of PC cases and enclosures designed by Lian Li is constantly replenishing with new products. Some of them resemble each other in design or framework, but some stand out from the line due to their non-standard elaboration. Chassis Lian Li PC-V750 can be boldly attributed to non-stock solutions, primarily thanks to unusual internal layout. This model is ready to demonstrate multiple attractive peculiarities, but they’ll be reviewed all in good time.



Design


The first point to be mentioned about PC-V750 design is that it comes in three color variations: Silver (PC-V750A), Black (PC-V750B) and Internal Black (PC-V750WX). The latter is notable by the availability of a transparent acrylic side window, absent with other two models. Taking the lead from a number of Nvidia’s partners, Gigabyte has launched its own sample piece of GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost graphics adapter. It is differentiated primarily by modified GPU and memory frequencies, as well as by an improved PCB design. The latter employs Ultra Durable 2 technology that stipulates the implementation of high-quality hardware components, including ferrite chokes, solid-state capacitors, and Low RDS Mosfets transistors with reduced resistance on mode changes.



Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost is based on GK106 GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. Its nominal frequency has been increased from the reference 980 MHz to 1033 MHz, while its dynamic frequency has been changed from 1032 MHz to 1098 MHz. This graphics adapter is furnished with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory, which clock frequencies have been, vice versa, lowered: nominal index dropped from 1502 MHz to 1250 MHz, dynamic index dropped from 6008 MHz to 5000 MHz.

Zalman, a well-known manufacturer of CPU coolers, PC cases and graphics solutions, introduces three new graphics card models, codenamed GeForce GTX 600 D5 OC VF1500, GeForce GTX 660 Ti D5 VF1500 and GeForce GTX 660 Ti D5 OC VF1500. All three models are equipped with a brand two-slot VF1500 cooler. Its framework consists of four heatpipes which transfer heat from GPU surface to an aluminum heatsink. This heatsink is accompanied by a couple of 92 mm fans, the maximal rotational speed of which achieves 1500 RPM. If compared with a reference cooler, VF1500 reduces GPU operational temperature at 25 degrees (from 81 to 56 degrees), producing 10 dB less noise (26 dB vs 36 dB).



The first model is based on Nvidia GK106 processor, designed under 28 nm technological process. It is characterized by heightened clock frequencies: nominal 1006 MHz against reference 980 MHz, and dynamic 1059 MHz against reference 1033 MHz.
