Power Module Chieftec A80 650W Review

The requirements of customers towards contemporary power modules are quite tough. They should own good performance characteristics and high coefficient of efficiency level, as well as 80Plus marker. The latter speaks about quality and ability to satisfy the needs of any PC. However, all PSU are classified according to different criteria, so one can find appropriate product even without 80Plus standards. The compliance with those standards is realized on 115V and 230V conditions but there are a number of standards applied to 220V-240V. Power module Chieftec A80 650W doesn’t belong to the army of 80Plus products, though can boast outstanding performance and efficiency. It is primarily targeted at the segment of affordable PSU solutions.

Design and Framework

Chieftec A80 650W design is developed in a classical template common for the models with a solid frontal fan. The casing consists of a ventilation perforation, decorative grid with the brand logo, sockets for module …

Deepcool Releases CPU Cooler Gammaxx 400

The assortment of products designed by Deepcool Industries company has been replenished with a high-end processor cooler Gammaxx 400. The new arrival is differentiated by an outstanding efficiency and minimal noise level. Cooler’s dimensions (which equal to 135x76x159 mm) facilitate its installation into any standard casing of ATX form-factor.

Gammaxx 400 is equipped with four sintered U-shaped heat pipes that have direct contact with the processor surface. This promotes for the improved cooling activity. The solid aluminum radiator accommodates fifty edges to ensure the appropriate heat dissipation. The radiator comprises 120 mm fan with a hydrodynamic bearing and four blue LEDs. The average rotation speed achieves the index of 900-1500 r/min, while the noise level does not exceed the margin of 32.1 dB.

Cooler Deepcool Gammaxx 400 is activated by means of 4-contact socket which provides for the revolution monitoring and noise level reduction via PWM option. This model is …

HIS Adds an Original Graphics Card to Its Inventory

The inventory of graphics solutions developed by HIS has been replenished with a new original in design card based on Radeon HD 7850 adapter. Entitled HIS Radeon HD 7850 iPower IceQ, the card is stuffed with a three-slot IceQ cooler and substantial memory volume that equals to 4GB. In addition, this model supports iTurbo applet that promotes for the GPU and memory clock frequencies increase.

Graphics card from HIS is based on a two-layer copper printed circuit board. The latter houses soldered DrMOS elements instead of conventional transistors. The integrated GPU is furnished with 1024 current processors. Its nominal clock frequency equals to 860MHz but can be dynamically boosted due to iTurbo technology. In its turn, iPower technology ensures stability and more voltage index for efficient overclocking process.

Memory subsystem is introduced by GDDR5 modules with 265-bit interface. The nominal memory clock frequency approximates 4800MHz. Power supply subsystem consists of …
